Time Magazine has a great cover story on the 80 million Americans in their 20's and 30's, entitled 'Millennials'. In a nut shell... they are lazy and think too much of themselves.
Unlike virtually every generation before them, they often live at home with their parents. We baby boomers couldn't get out of Mom & Dad's house fast enough.
The Time article notes more people age 18-29 now live with their parents rather than with a spouse! Twenty years ago 80% of people under 23 wanted to someday have a job with more responsibility... today its 60%. Female boomers married at 21 and millennial women marry at 27. Which may be good because the guys they marry still have mommy doing their laundry.
Kids today send or receive an average of 88 text messages a day. 70% of them check their phones every hour.
I offered a 24 year old guy a job paying $80,000 a couple of weeks ago... he didn't like doing some of 'grunt work' and really wanted $100,000.
Hey 20 something’s... you are not that important! You don't have that much to say. You haven't done much of anything everyone else needs to know about... So stop twittering, stop texting, stop talking...go get a job, get an apartment and grow up.
The Time article had a great quote...
'Climb the mountain so you can see the world...not so the world can see you'
