Thunder Buzz Back to Beat Hornets

The Oklahoma City Thunder reached two new highs tonight with a 98-83 win over the New Orleans Hornets tonight inside the Ford Center. The Thunder won its 39th game reaching 15 games over the .500 mark, both highs since moving to OKC.

Kevin Durant, again, was terrific for the now fifth place Thunder. The first time all-star scored a team high 29 points on 11 of 19 shooting only making five free throws on the night. Durant leads the NBA in free throws made per contest.

Russell Westbrook, was close to another triple double, scoring 17 points grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out nine assists. The second year player out-played his former teammate Darren Collison who scored just eight points.

Five Thunder players in all, four starters, scored in double figures for the Thunder. Serge Ibaka scored 12 points off the bench while Jeff Green and Nenad Krstic each added ten points. The Thunder now sit in a tie for fifth place in the Western Conference and will now host the New Jersey Nets on Friday night.
