Thunder 2009-2010 Schedule

KSBI News

The NBA announced its 2009-10 regular season schedule today, and the Oklahoma City Thunder will open the season at home against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday, Oct. 28.

The first ten home games feature matchups against the Lakers, Magic and the 2008 NBA Champion Boston Celtics on Dec. 4. In the first four weeks of the schedule, the Thunder plays the Magic and Lakers each twice, one time at home and one time on the road.

"We're excited to unveil the first phase of the renovated Ford Center when the season opens on Oct. 28," said Thunder
Senior Vice President of Ticket Sales and Service Brian Byrnes. "We have a great slate of home games to start the second season of Thunder Basketball."

All 41 Thunder home games have a 7 p.m. start time, except for ten Sunday games when the tip-off time is 6 p.m. Throughout the entire season, there are only six weekends without at least one home game, not including the All Star Break. In addition, there are 18 weekend road games, which will be broadcast live.

All 82 regular season Thunder games will be broadcast either on FOX Sports Oklahoma or on KSBI-52 (Thunder TV). The complete
local broadcast schedule will be released later this month.

Weekends will be busy in the ford center this season as 22 of the 41 Thunder games will be played on Friday, Saturday or Sunday Nights.  The weekend matchups include a visit from the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday, Nov. 1, the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, Dec. 13, and the Lakers again on Sunday, March 26.  The schedule includes three Saturday evening games in the Ford Center, including the Miami Heat on Jan. 16.

There are limited season tickets still available for the 2009-10 season at various price points.  The Thunder also has partial ticket plans available now, and individual game tickets will go on sale in late September.  Fans interested in tickets are asked to call 405-208-HOOP, or visit the team’s website at THUNDER.NBA.COM.
