USA Basktball has narrowed its roster down to 12 men heading into the FIBA World Championships, but head coach Mike Krzyzewski did not have to make that decision after his team's final exhibition game. USA defeated Greece by a final of 87-59 Wedensday afternoon.
USA used a 28-12 run in the third quarter to put the game out of distance after leading by 11 points at the break. Eric Gordon, one of the guys on the bubble, led the Americans in scoring with 18 points as the U.S. also forced 24 turnovers.
Russell Westbrook joins Gordon and Stephen Curry on the team and off the bubble because Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo withdrew himself from the team on Tuesday afternoon. No reason was given for Rondo's request to withdraw from consideration.
The FIBA World Championships begin Saturday and run through September 12.
