The Putnam City Panthers enter 2010 coming off another playoff appearance, falling in the first round in 2009. Post season appearances are becoming customary for Bob Wilson and his team.
The Panthers will be solid in the rushing attack featuring a pair of backs who are very solid. Dre holman should be the starter, but will be pushed by Sam Wolfe who averaged nearly eight yards per carry.
A good ground game will make things easier on the starting quarterback. Entering camp that job belongs to returning starter Jace James, but look for junior Joe Summers to push him for time. However, Summers is the better athlete and can help at wide receiver and cornerback.
Those happen to be the two positions that coach Bob Wilson admits needs the most improvement between now and the start of the season. The group of guys are young and ahtletic and have the ability to become great players, but will have to grow up and become the playmakers that the Panthers will need.
