The sun rose on high school football in 2010 and KSBI-TV was at Kingfisher High School bright and early to open its two a day tour with coach Jeff Myers and the Yellow Jackets. The Jackets are young, but had a good turn out for football and the numbers were up.
Kingfisher returns plenty of talent of the offensive side of the ball including its quarterback Derek Patterson who threw for 2,200 yards and 22 touchdowns. He led the Yellow JAckets to a 12-3 including a deep run into the playoffs.
Patterson will have talent around him with Logan Nault at the wide receiver position and Jonathon Harvie lined up behind him at the tailback position.
Coach Myers said the Jackets will be young in spots, but have a good number of kids out this season. He added the defense will have some questions to answer, but if they play solid the team has a chance to be really good.
