The Heritage Hall Chargers have been a force in 2A for a long time, now the Chargers step up to 3A to take on the Tuttles, Kingfishers, Star Spencers and Cascia Halls of the state. However, Andy Bogert and his team will welcome the challenge.
In year one of the jump, the Chargers will definitely have the athletes to compete at that next level. Barry Sanders and Sterling Shepard will handle much of the load offensively with their play making abilities, while the "rally around the ball" defense should again be tough to score on.
Last season the Hall had trouble throwing the ball as its passing game was inconsistent at best. Look for Shepard to get some time back at the quarterback postion, but Cooper Cloud has emerged as a candidate for the job and has the ability to throw the ball down field.
The Charger strenghth is in its offensive line where the anchors return and running the ball should be a success for the Hall. Also, if the defense continues its stingy ways look for the Chargers to be right back in the post season mix, this time in 3A.
