Edmond Santa Fe comes off a season where the Wolves won just three football games, a sub standard year by school expectations. However, the Wolves were young last season and coach Bruce Gowan believes he has the athletes to compete this season.
The Wolves will have three big play makers on offense that when the ball finds their hands, can turn into big plays. Patrick Hinton and Tre Kelley have the ability to turn every play into a big play. Add in sophomore running back Phillip Sumpter, and the Wolves will have the ability to strike quickly againts any defense.
This side of the ball is where the young guys must step up. Coach Gowen believes he has the players to do it, but this side of the ball lost several key players. If the Wolves can get consistent play from its quarterback and a few turnovers in key spots, they will have the ability to find themselves back in the post season.
