The Del City Eagles came out of the gates blazing last season, putting together a 7-3 mark under head coach Nick Warehime. The Eagles did miss the playoffs, but made tremendous strides.
This season Chazten Gonzalez returns as the starting quarterback for Del City and he comes off a season where he was very successful. The senior has thrown for over 4,400 yards and 20 touchdowns in his career as th Eagle starter.
His two favorite targets from a season ago, Donovan Dan and Chris McAlister, have both graduated and that will be a hole for the Eagles to fill this season. Marquis Walters does, however, return this season coming off a 14 yards per catch campaign a season ago.
The Eagles will have team speed according to coach Warehime. He said it was the first thing he noticed about his team when they came out for fall camp.
