KSBI News

The Oklahoma Sooners used a late season push to earn the second seed in the Big 12 baseball tournament, while the Oklahoma State Cowboys were swept in its final weekend of play to miss the field of eight. It is the second consecutive year that the Pokes have missed the tournament, but eight teams did make it to Oklahoma City.

The top seed belongs to, by far, the best team in the conference throughout the regular season. The Longhorns will open up its play at 12:30 p.m. on Wedensday against the Missouri Tigers. OU received the second seed and will take on seventh seeded Kansas Wednesday night in the prime time game at 7:30 p.m.

Texas A&M and Texas Tech will play the four, five game to open up tournament play Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. and Kansas State will be the three seed taking on sixth seeded Baylor at 4:00 p.m.

The Big 12 tournament will wrap up Sunday afternoon with a one game chamipionship at 1:00 p.m.

The entire five day schedule features four days of pool play and a one game championship.
