Both OU and OSU's women's teams received bids to the NCAA Tournament.
The Sooners earned a No. 3 seed in the Kansas City Region, of the NCAA Women's Tournament. OU will host 14th-seeded South Dakota State Sunday, March 21, at 8:30 p.m. at the Lloyd Noble Center.
Practices for the NCAA first and second rounds will begin at noon Saturday, March 20, and are open to the public.
Meanwhile the Cowgirls earned a No. 4 seed and will play in the Sacramento Regional.
OSU will take on 13th-seeded Chattanooga (24-8) in the first round and will play in Tempe, Ariz. on March 20 at 7:11 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPN2 and will also be available on ESPN360.
The Cowgirls last NCAA berth was two years ago and this year marks the third time head coach Kurt Budke and his team has played in the big dance. Their No. 4 seed is the second highest in program history after competing as a No. 3 seed in 2008.
The Cowgirls have won a school record six games this season against nationally ranked teams and also achieved the program¹s highest-ever ranking at No. 10 in February. OSU enjoyed an 11-game winning streak this year, which was the second longest in program history.
Cowgirls' berth marks the first time since 1995 both teams have made the NCAA Tournament field.
