The Utah Jazz led the Oklahoma City Thunder by a game and a half heading into Sunday nights game, that would change. The Thunder closed the gap by night's end defeating the Jazz 119-111. The Thunder used a big second quarter to build a double digit lead and held control from then on out. OKC outscored the Jazz 30-23 in the second quarter and led by ten at the half. The Jazz cut it to six a few times down the stretch, but Oklahoma City closed out the Jazz at night's end. Kevin Durant led the way for the Thunder scoring 35 points on the night on just 17 shots, also making all 13 of his free throws. The all-star also added three rebounds and three assists on the night. Russell Westbrook continues his ridiculous play this season, and especially the second half. Westbrook had 30 points, but did not stop there. The second year point guard added 11 assists also making 12 of his 16 shots. For the Jazz, rookie Wesley Matthews had a break out night scoring 29 points making nine of his 11 shots and six of seven three pointers. Deron Williams was the second highest scorer on the squad scoring 27. The Thunder now move to 41-24 on the season and a half game behind Utah for fouth place in the Western Conference. Oklahoma City now hits the road for three straight while the NCAA tournament borrows the Ford Center, before coming back home for four straight.
