Cowboys Earn At-Large Bid

KSBI News

It's Travis Ford's second year in Stillwater and the Cowboys have earned its way to a second straight NCAA tournament, something it hasn't done since Eddie Sutton was the head coach.

Oklahoma State made the second round last season and will at least look to duplicate that performance this season. The Cowboys earn a seven seed in the Midwest region and will play its first round game against tenth seeded Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets feature solid inside play with a rotation of three bigs and a solid athletic guard in Terry Shumpert.

If OSU could beat Georgia Tech it would most likely play the second seeded Ohio State Buckeyes in the second round. Kansas is the top seed in the region. The Cowboys play in Milwaukee on Friday at 6:15.
