Anderson, not only led the Cowboys in scoring, but he led the entire league in the statistical category as well. He was also named to the first team all-conference list.
The junior out of Junction City, Arkansas has been the catalyst for a 21 win season for the Pokes and a most likely trip to the NCAA tournament. Anderson averaged 22.9 points per game which not only led his conference, but was sixth in the nation. His 686 points this season is sixth all time in OSU history. In conference play Anderson averaged 24.1 points per game which is the fifth best mark in the conference's history.
Anderson was one of only two players unanimously voted on the conference's first team, the other was Damion James. Sheron Collins and Cole Aldrich of Kansas along with Donald Sloan of A&M and Jacob Pullen from Kansas State made up the first team.
Anderson was also named a first-team All-American by Sporting News. He becomes the first Cowboy player named a first-team All-American by Sporting News since 1951 when Gale McArthur was honored.
OSU's Obi Muonelo was an honorable mention selection for the Big 12 Conference.
