Oklahoma State was looking to pull off back to back shockers Wednesday night in College Station taking on nationally ranked Texas A&M on the road. The Cowboys made a good showing of themselves, but did not have enough to get the victory on the road.
Texas A&M jumped out early on the Pokes building a double digit lead in the first few minutes of the game. However, the Cowboys used the later part of the first half to pull itself back in the game trailing by just three at the half, 38-35. Then the Aggies answered the call to start the second half putting a 9-0 run on the Pokes to rebuild the double digit lead and never look back.
James Anderson, again, made a case for himself to be the conference's player of the year even in the loss. Anderson finished with 27 points on 7-19 field goal shooting and making nine of his ten free throws. Anderson leads the conference in scoring. The support was not there for the Pokes in this game, only one other Cowboy finished in double figures. Obi Muonelo scored 13 points and then after that not much. Mat Pilgrim finished with eight points and Keiton Page only had two.
The Cowboys finish its season on Saturday afternoon at home against Nebraska inside Gallagher Iba Arena.
