The NBA announced today that Oklahoma City Thunder coach Scott Brooks is the Western Conference coach of the month. In the month of February with a 9-2 record and at one point winning seven games in a row.

It was the third consecutive month with a winning record for the Thunder, the first time the franchise has experienced three straight months of winning basketball since November 2004 through March 2005. The Thunder's winning percentage for the month was .818, the second highest in franchise history.

During the stretch, Oklahoma City continued to dominate on the road going 5-1 in the month. The Thunder are now 17-12 on the season on the road and much of the reason for the success. During that stretch OKC averaged 104.4 points and 46.8 percent shooting from the field.

The Thunder next hit the court March 2nd when the team hosts Sacramento looking for a third straight win.
