For the third straight game the Toronto Raptors were without Chris Bosh and for the third straight game the opponent took advantage. On Sunday night it was the Oklahoma City Thunder beating the Raptors easily 119-99 inside the Ford Center to move back to a season best 12 games above .500.
The Oklahoma City won each of the first three quarters easily and cruised into the fourth quarter with a 24 point lead. The Thunder were hot early and stingy defensively building a double digit lead quickly and never really allowing Toronto much of a chance. Oklahoma City won the first quarter 34-24, one of two 30 point quarters on the night.
The Thunder controlled the paint early and often as Jeff Green went for 20 points and six rebounds. However, the better paint play came from Nenad Krstic and Serge Ibaka who combined for 29 points and 13 rebounds. Ten of those rebounds belonged to Ibaka giving him a double double on the night.
Kevin Durant continued his stellar play and for the 33rd consecutive game, the NBA's second leading scorer topped the 20 point mark scoring 29 on the night and playing just 32 minutes. The horses for the Thunder got some much deserved rest in the fourth quarter as Durant, Green and Westbrook all played less then 35 minutes. Those are three guys that all play near or more then 40 minutes a night.
The Thunder will finish off its three game home stand, with its third straight game against a team with a losing record. The Thunder host the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night and should likely move a season best 13 games over .500 when its all said and done.
