The Oklahoma City Thunder and general manager Sam Presti liked what he saw from the newest Thunder member Antonio Anderson because the team signed the former Memphis star to a second 10-day contract. Anderson has appeared in one game since joining the Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder filled its final roster spot Monday afternoon, February 22nd, with the acquisition of guard Antonio Anderson. The Thunder signed the guard to a ten day contract while waiving guard Matt Harpring who was acquired in the trade with Utah that also brought over Eric Maynor.
Anderson is 24 years old and is a free agent call up from the Rio Valley Grande Vipers of the NBA's D-League. In 32 games this season Anderson is averaging 15.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.9 assists and nearly 40 minutes per game. He has started all 32 games for the Vipers.
Anderson is a 6'6" 215 pound guard out of Memphis. He was a part of two final fours for the Tigers while going undrafted in 2009. Anderson becomes the 14th call up this season from the D-League and will wear jersey number eight for the Thunder.
