The men who normally don't get much credit in college football are now getting their recognition.
The Outland Watch list which honors college footballs top lineman includes Oklahoma tackle Trent Williams and defensive tackle Gerald McCoy along with Oklahoma State Senior Russell Okung.
Williams, a senior for the Sooners, started all 14 games last season, and McCoy also started all 14 games and finished the campaign with 30 tackles, 11 for loss, 6.5 sacks and one pass interception.
Okung, an offensive tackle for the Cowboys has been a starter since his true freshman season.
All three nominees made the 2008 All Big-12 Team.
The Outland Trophy, presented annually since 1946, is the third-oldest award in major college football. The winner of the Outland Trophy, named after the late John Outland, an All-America lineman at Penn and Kansas at the turn of the century, will be announced on the Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards Show on December 10.
