It was just one year ago today when Clay Bennett announced that the Seattle Super Sonics would be moving to Oklahoma City and eventually become the Oklahoma City Thunder. The team quickly made the transition and move from the great northwest to the great plains and an inaugural season was underway.
The first season got off to a bumpy start as the team won just one of its first thirteen games and decided to go in a different direction with then assistant Scott Brooks. The team struggled early under Brooks but after a New Years' Eve victory over the Golden State Warriors the Thunder rattled off 21 of the teams 23 wins in 2009.
After completing the season the Thunder have now begun its first off season including an NBA draft where the team selected James Harden out of Arizona State third overall. Now the team begins its first free agency period as the Thunder and will look to make more moves to make its second season in OKC more successful then the first.
