The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz were shut out in the second half of its 61-28 loss to Spokane on Friday night last week, but still the team had a postivie outcome when the week was over. The Yard Dawgz clinched a playoff spot.
Oklahoma City (7-6) has clinched a birth in the playoffs and right now under the current system the team could not host a playoff game. However, in his weekly press conference Sparky McEwen hinted that the league is looking into a new playoff system that could be implemented this season. The head coach also said under the new system the team could have the ability to host a playoff game.
Oklahoma City will be on the road this week taking on Rio Grande, a team that beat the Yard Dawgz in the last minute of the team's meeting earlier in the season. Rio left the Cox Center with a 73-72 win over the Yard Dawgz. Oklahoma City has three regular season games left on the schedule.
