Farve and Murphy Talk
Wednesday, Packers President Mark Murphy visited Favre and his agent in Mississippi in hopes of talking Favre out of reporting to camp later this week. Murphy did not comment of what he and Favre discussed. Meanwhile, Favre continues to workout at a local high school while he waits for word on his reinstatement.
Angels Over Error Prone RedSox
The Angels beat the error prone RedSox 9-2 to complete the three game sweep. Garrett Anderson and Torii Hunter each homered. The RedSox defense helped out the Angels with four errors in the game. Joe Saunders picks up his 14th win of the season. The Angels have won eight straight against the Sox this season.
Cubbies Brewers
The Cubs beat the Brewers 7-2 for their 4th straight win, including the first three of the four game set. Ryan Theriot went three for three and drove in three runs. Reed Johnson also had three hits in the game.
Jarboe In Trouble Again
The University of Oklahoma football team dealing with disciplinary issues after a video posted to the internet showed freshman wide receiver Josh Jarboe rapping about carrying guns and shooting people. This isn't the first time Jarboe has been in trouble. He was arrested earlier this year for carrying a gun into Cedar Grove High School. OU spokesperson Kenny Mossman says this issue will be handled internally.
RedHawks Lose L.V. Opener
The Oklahoma RedHawks lost in their series opener against Las Vegas last night. That series continues with game two tonight at the Brick.
Play of the Day
Top 5th 2-1 Cardinals. With the bases loaded, the drive to deep right field looks like its going yard, but watch Jeff Francoeur run, make the catch and crash into the wall. He would be okay and hold onto the ball. Check it out again, Francoeur crashing into the wall. The great play catches our play of the day.
