BCS Changes

Wednesday Bowl Championship Series officials predictably rejected a proposal during a five-hour meeting in Hollywood, Florida. The proposal would have added a plus-one game to decide the national champion beginning with the 2010 season. With BCS officials about to start negotiating long-term television contracts the earliest any plus-one discussion could resurface won't occur until after the 2014 season.

Mavs Fire Avery

Dallas fired head coach Avery Johnson less than 24 hours after the Mavericks were knocked out of the playoffs by New Orleans. Johnson took over in March of 2005 and even won coach of the year in 2006. But, the Mavs lost 12 of 15 games in three straight postseason exits.

Caron Butler almost loses possession of the ball, but he gets it back, then flings up a tough shot that actually goes in. Check that out again as Butler loses control of the ball but somehow gets a hand back on it to convert the jumper and our play of the day!
