Hornets Making History
After being announced the NBA coach of the year Hornets' Byron Scott led New Orleans to their first ever playoff series victory. Chris Paul lead his team with a triple double beating Dallas 99-94 Tuesday to take that series four games to one. Paul had 24-points, 15-rebounds, and 11-assists and David West added 25. The Hornets will now face the San Antonio Spurs.
Ruth Check to be Sold
A piece of baseball history is on the auction block. A Florida company is auctioning off the check that was part of a historic deal when Babe Ruth was sold from the Boston Red Sox to the New York Yankees. The fifty thousand dollar check is sealed in an airtight container. Many baseball fans believe this sale is what began the "curse of the bambino" for the Red Sox. Experts say the check could sell for as much as one hundred thousand dollars.
Obama Shoots With UNC
Everybody has to work out some stress once in a while and I'm willing to bet the presidential campaign trail is pretty stressful. Check out Senator Barack Obama shooting some hoops with the UNC team Tuesday during a scrimmage in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Looks like he might have been able to hold his own with the best of them.
Play of the Day
Mike Ribeiro has the puck in the corner, he sends a centering pass to Mattis Norstrom for the game winner. Stars take a 3-0 lead in the series and that teamwork comes away with our play of the day.
