Reasons Comments on Tulsa Loss
Head Coach Gary Reasons spoke today about the Yard Dawgz' most recent loss to the Tulsa Talons. He says focus was not an issue, but blames the tough loss on poor execution.
"I look at some things that we did in the ball game that are squarely on our shoulders," said Reasons. "The mistakes that we made, the problems that we had, protecting our quarterback, dropping the football, defensively allowing scorers. The good news is that they are correctable."
The Yard Dawgz will host the Austin Wranglers Sunday afternoon.
NBA Playoffs
LeBron James and the Cavaliers beat the Washington Wizards by 30 points, 116-86. The win set a new franchise record for postseason margin of victory and gives Cleveland a 2-0 game lead in the opening round of the playoffs. King James just shy of a triple double had 30-points, 12-assists and 9-rebounds.
Utah got 22-points from Derron Williams as the Jazz beat the Rockets 90-84. Mehmet Okur added 16-points and 16-rebounds for the Jazz which lead the series two games to none. Game three is Thursday night in Utah where the Jazz were 37-and-4 in the regular season.
Werth With Homer
Jayson Werth got it done the hard way for the Phillies. In the 6th Werth smacks the Mark Redman offering and watch this, Werth will touch 'em all for the inside-the-park home run. The Phillies got the win in this one nine to five.
Play of the Day
Canadiens' Mark Streit gets the puck, puts it through the legs of a Bruins' defender then makes a great move to score the goal. Take another look as Streit makes the move on Chara, then beats the Bruins' Tim Thomas for the goal and our play of the day!
