New Date Set for Pharmacist's Murder Trial

KSBI News

An Oklahoma City judge has pushed pharmacist Jerome Ersland's trial date back by three months.

Ersland is charged with first-degree murder in the May 2009 shooting death of teenage would-be robber Antwun Parker. On Wednesday District Judge Ray Elliot set the date for December 6th.

Ersland was to go to trial September 13th but the trial was postponed after judge Tammy Bass-Lesure recused herself from the case on Tuesday. Elliot also set an October 1st deadline for Ersland's attorney, Irven Box, to file additional motions in the case.

Box said Tuesday he plans on filing a motion to remove District Attorney David Prater, accusing him of prosecutorial misconduct.

Elliot also ruled cameras will no longer be allowed in the court room.
