Midwest City, OK-- Police have arrested the teen who allegedly threw a knife at his roommate, striking him in the chest, in a dispute over a video game.
Wednesday afternoon police arrested 19-year-old Jonathan Siders, after he admitted he threw a butcher knife at Arjuna Whitehead, 28, inside their home in the 100th block of E Coe Street on August 29th.
However, Siders claims he threw the knife in self defense.
"The evidence at the scene and testimony of several witnesses indicate otherwise to a claim of a self defense," said Midwest City Police Chief Brandon Clabes.
According to the police report, the victim asked Siders to return a play station game and jewelry he had taken. Siders then hit the victim in the head with a wooden stick and threw a butcher knife at him.
Siders was arrested on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon. His bond is set at $35,000.
Police say Whitehead is still recovering from his injuries but has been released from the hospital.
