Remnants of Tropical Storm Hermine have brought persistent rain, strong winds and at least one tornado in southern Oklahoma.
A tornado touched down briefly about six miles south of Marietta Wednesday evening. Officials said no injuries or damage were reported. Tornado warnings were also issued for Choctaw, McCurtain and Pushmataha counties, but there were no confirmed reports of tornadoes from these areas.
KSBI meteorologists say the remnants of Hermine will gradually pull away from the region on Thursday and the chances for rain will decrease. They say temperatures will return to the lower 90's this weekend.
Authorities in Bryan County said strong winds knocked over a tractor-trailer rig and damaged two homes. The driver's condition wasn't immediately known.
Oklahoma City officials said threats of flooding were prevalent all day Wednesday. They say the city will remain on high alert until rain chances decrease.
Emergency managers said there were no reports of deaths and significant damage from the storm.
