An Oklahoma City man made his initial court appearance Wednesday for his alleged involvement in the deaths of a mother and her two children. No felony charges were filed, but investigators think they will find the evidence to put Shaun Bosse, 27, in jail.
Katrina Griffin and her two children, 8-year-old Christian Griffin and 6-year-old Chasity Hammer, were found burned inside their mobile home in Dibble on Friday.
OSBI has discovered that Katrina and Christian had stab wounds on their bodies. Investigators are doing their best to place Shaun Bosse at the scene.
"We are trying to fill in all the blanks so when it goes to a jury they have everything they can to consider guilt," says Jessica Brown, Spokesperson for OSBI.
A temporary memorial has been set up outside the home in honor of the 25-year-old mother and her children. Family members say they have plans to build a permanent memorial.
Brown says Katrina and Bosse had been dating for a couple of weeks. She says OSBI has discovered a motive for the killings, but won't reveal it right now.
Investigators have searched Bosse's truck and his apartment. They found pawn tickets, indicating that Bosse sold items that belonged to Katrina. Brown says they also found more things that could help.
"We believe we found some items that could test to be some good evidence in the case. We'll continue building our case," says Brown.
OSBI wants to talk to anyone who may have seen Bosse from midnight on Thursday to Friday at 8:00 p.m. Call OSBI's tipline at 1-800-522-8017 if you have any information.
A memorial fund has been set up for the family. You can make donations to the Katrina Griffin and Children Memorial Fund at any First American Bank branch. Funeral services for the family will be held Friday in Dibble.
