Authorities have learned who operated the boat involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on lake Eufaula and on Tuesday, Oklahoma Highway Patrol turned over the accident report to the McIntosh County District Attorney.
Officials say after they discovered the boat at the Cook Creek boat slip on the lake, they found out it was operated by 20-year-old Aaron Jones of Moore when the accident occurred.
OHP says 38-year-old Greg Scherff died Saturday after the boat he was on was hit by the second boat. Six people were also injured in the accident.
The D.A's office says after they review the report they'll decide whether to file charges against Jones.
