Oklahoma Corporation Commission employees had a day off on Friday.
It was the second furlough day they had to take due to a budget shortfall. Under the current plan, employees will have to take six additional furlough days. Officials say that will save the commission an estimated $100,000 a day.
The measure comes after OCC had to lay off 8 percent of its work force.
