A former Oklahoma County detention officer is an inmate himself.
Sheriff John Whetsel says 25-year-old Okello Adenya has been giving illegal items to inmates in exchange for money. Adenya admitted to receiving approximately $1,100. A search team found tobacco, marijuana and a cell phone charger inside a jail unit.
Adenya was fired and now faces felony charges. Whetsel expects more arrests in this case.
