After the tornado ripped through the town of Hammon, Curtis Lackey came home to his house completely destroyed. Now all he can do is start over.
"I don't know where do you go from here, you know, you get up and start over the next day," said Lackey.
Curtis Lackey is starting over with the help of family and friends.
But he knows it won't be easy. This tornado not only took his home, but it also took almost 30 years of memories.
"I really haven't given that a thought yet, I'm just staying busy you know. But when it all settles down, it will all sink in," said Lackey.
Luckily, Lackey's family was not home at the time of the tornado and for that he is truly grateful.
As he picks up the pieces of what is left of his home, he says he is hopeful about what tomorrow brings because he knows this situation will make him stronger.
"We'll get through it, we'll get through it," said Lackey.
