Fired M.E. Plans Lawsuit

KSBI News

The now former Chief Medical Examiner reportedly plans on filing a lawsuit against the state.

On Friday the board that oversees the office fired Dr. Collie Trant after a special meeting. Trant had been placed on leave last Monday.

Trant's attorney says he didn't do anything wrong and that he is being fired for blowing the whistle. It's rumored that Trant made comments about the case against former Chief M.E. Kevin Rowland. Rowland is accused of touching co-workers inappropriately.

The board continues to decline comment.
