Norman Triple Murder Trial Begins

KSBI News

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- A blind Vietnam veteran says a man on trial for the killings of the veteran's wife, mother and sister-in-law also threatened to kill him.

Joseph Link testified Monday on the first day of William Davis' trial.

Davis is charged with first-degree murder for the Sept. 4, 2007, shotgun slayings of Link's wife, Tami Link, his mother, Letannah Bishop, and his sister-in-law, Sheila Ellis.

Link says he was inside his home when he heard a loud bang in the kitchen area. He says as he went toward the kitchen he heard and a second blast, then heard his mother pleading for her life.

Link says Davis placed the shotgun barrel on his face and said, `I'm going to kill you, too." Link says he grabbed the shotgun and disabled Davis.
