One of the longest serving Reserve Deputies of the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office was killed in a car crash Tuesday.
William "Bill" Reifer, 57, served the citizens of the Oklahoma County for 28 years. He was a graduate of one of the original OCSO Reserve Academies.
"Bill was dedicated and dependable for volunteering for needed assignments and worked in many areas, including Patrol and Communications," said Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel.
The traffic accident occurred in the Mustang area after a drunk driver struck Reifer's vehicle head-on.
