Soldiers' Families Celebrate Thanksgiving

KSBI News

While many of celebrate with their families there are some who have loved ones that are deployed. But they aren't alone. Thursday they had Thanksgiving dinner with the entire military community.

"It's just family looking out for family," said Alan Jamerson, 72nd Airbase Wing Commander.

For those soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan they are comforted to know their families are celebrating.

"Those deployed members know that their families are taken care of while they are off in some part of the world taking care of United States business, so it always gives you a sense of comfort," said Jamerson.

Tinkers' servers came in all shapes and sizes, teaching the great importance of friends fellowship and family.

"I know my family's back east, they're not here. But I have 20-thousand family members that work at Tinker to support me," said Gen. Bruce Litchfield, 76th Wing Commander.
