Several medical groups are already reporting a shortage in the seasonal flu vaccine. State Health Department immunization chief Don Blose says demand for the vaccine seems unusually high. Blose says manufacturers are running into problems trying to distribute both the seasonal flu vaccine and the H1N1 vaccine.
Officials with the National Community Pharmacists Association say Oklahoma is one of three states running out of the vaccine. Georgia and Kansas are also reporting shortages.
