We now know the identities of the five people killed in a Tulsa plane crash. The 3 adults, and 2 children were on board the aircraft headed to the Oklahoma Sooners football game when the plane took a turn for the worst. Adam Bradley and Daniel Martin were near Chandler Park in Tulsa Saturday morning.
"All the sudden we heard a sound like an airplane was going to crash," Bradley explained.
Suddenly, a 6-seat Piper Aircraft crashed in the middle of the park and burst into flames.
"Media everybody, all the way back to the park," a County Sheriff said at the scene.
The plane was on it's way to Dallas on that hazy morning.
Lt. George Brown with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said, "Upon further investigation it was revealed that the tower as seen behind me, the aircraft struck a guide wire of that tower. First responders tell me that that tower was not visible when they arrived on scene, that if was fog covered."
48 year-old Dr. Stephen Lester, his wife Dana, their daughters 16-year-old Laura, and 13-year-old Christina were killed. 50-year-old Ken Veteto also died in the fiery crash.
"It was pretty, pretty sick. Pretty bad deal and I'm just glad we didn't get hit because it's so cloudy and I'm sure they couldn't see flying a plane," Daniel Martin, a witness, concluded.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday and Thursday for all 5 people killed in the crash.
