Bricktown Celebrates St. Patrick's Day

KSBI News

Oklahoma City -- St. Patrick's Day celebrations were in full swing in Bricktown.

The 18th Annual Bricktown St. Patrick's Day Block Party got started at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.

People enjoyed food, green beads and specials at Bricktown restaurants throughout the day.

The O'Kellys kicked off the live entertainment at noon and there's still many more bands lined up for the evening.

Those in attendance say the event was a good escape from their weekly routines.

"The music is good and everyone should get out here and have fun," says Alex Rey, Oklahoma City resident.

"We get to spend time with our family and just everybody getting together," says Cristina Aguero, Oklahoma City resident.

The Block Party lasted through midnight.
