Oklahoma City -- Love may first come to mind when you think of roses, but one group hopes you'll think of life.
Anti-abortion advocates handed out red roses to lawmakers at the state capitol during their annual Rose Day event on Wednesday.
Supporters hope to urge lawmakers to pass anti-abortion legislation by handing out the symbols of life.
This year advocates are promoting a measure that would track the reasons women get abortions and the complications that result.
"This was a fabulous ceremony honoring all the unborn children. We had speakers and representatives and senators who are hoping to pass legislation for pro-life causes," says Janitha Jendrzey, Miss Oklahoma International 2008.
Lawmakers have passed a variety of anti-abortion measures over the years.
