Preslee and Kylee Wells are conjoined twins who are celebrating their first month of life.  A celebration took place on Friday at the Children's Hospital at OU Medical Center.

The two are believed to be the first Native American conjoined twins in the world.

Doctors have done about 90 percent of the work to separate them.

Preslee and Kylee are joined at the liver, rib cage and have two separate hearts.

Doctors are waiting for them to develop a little more and are trying to figure out if they share blood vessels to the heart, before they can be completely separated.

Dr. David Tuggle, the pediatric surgeon, says, "There is not only the physical limitations of growth but the psychological limitations of being conjoined."

Stevie Stewart, the mother of the conjoined twins, says, "Kylee's pretty laid back and sleeps through everything.  Preslee's pretty feisty."

Marla Longbrake, the grandmother of the conjoined twins, says, "I'm hoping to hold them sometime this week.  They're just amazing little girls, they definitely have their own personalities."

The twins are still in the ICU but are in stable condition.

Doctors want to separate them before eight or nine months.

Stevie really looks forward to taking their one month pictures.
