A day of rain can't stop crews from making progress on the new KSBI building.  Some inside work is done even before the roof is completely put on.  These metal pieces are going to help out something that we told you a little bit about last week.  Crews have been putting up the exterior inside walls, about 80% are done throughout the building.  The actual structure itself here at the new KSBI isn't the only thing that's been making a lot of progress this week.

The hard work and many man hours continue.

Foreman Lance Pellegrini said, "We've done some more sheeting, we put in a bunch of cables yesterday."

In effort to put a roof over their heads.

"We've been working on the roof today, we're going to try and get about 3/4 of the roof done," Pellegrini explained. "It's a little windy up there, we have some prep work to do as we're roofing too.  There's a big platform going up there for satellites and what not for dishes and stuff."

Outside the building, the soil tests are done and the piping is in place for the septic system.

Roy Robbins, the Owner of Roy Robbins Backhoe & Trucking, "We're putting in a 1,000 gallon trash tank and 1,000 gallon lift station to bring the water back up to a level that we can put our absorption field in.  Oklahoma's land is so spotty thought it's actually a little better soil than what we're used to digging in."

Just another of the many steps well on their way to creating the newest television station in the metro.

"We've got the gutter in as you can see up there, and we'll put the roof on and you can seal it off at the eve in the middle," Pellegrini concluded.

It's a little different having watched the progress of the site to be actually standing in the dark inside the building.  This is the first fully enclosed part of the news KSBI-TV, which is the garage area.  The sheeting came this week so crews were able to start on the roof, ad they hope to finish by the end of today or tomorrow.  Crews working on the exterior inside walls will also insulate it, and put on the sheet rock.
