Oklahoma City police say a son is arrested for killing his mother.
The suspect has been identified as 45-year-old Jimmy Wayne Gilbert. He was booked into the Oklahoma County jail on Sunday on a complaint of first degree murder.
The investigation revealed the victim, 62-year-old Linda Gayle Gilbert, and her son started fighting. It then appears the suspect stabbed his mom.
Master Sergeant Gary Knight, with the Oklahoma City Police department, says, "He stayed at the scene, he did not flee. Officers took him into custody and he was transported down to police headquarters to the homicide unit with other witnesses."
No word yet on what the two were fighting about before the incident happened.
