A 16-page election tool has caused a political storm, and it's not even out yet.
"Everybody's wanting a copy," says Oklahoma County Commissioner Brent Rinehart.
Rinehart spent the last two months putting a comic book together. He says it's a reflection of his last three and a half years in office.
"The citizens of Oklahoma County need to know I've been on the forefront since day one," says Rinehart.
"If all his experiences are contained in this comic book, he ought to resign today," says Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel.
The book criticizes Rinehart's opponents along with State Attorney General Drew Edmondson and Whetsel.
"Those are anti-law enforcement pages," says Whetsel. "To make fun of pieces of equipment acquired to save lives really kind of shows what kind of a sick human being we're dealing with."
"If I upset my political opponents, so be it," says Rinehart. "I'm not going to stop. I'm not going to back down."
One of the most controversial pages is on his accusation of Edmondson allowing homosexual scout leaders, saying it's a pedophile's dream come true.
"I shine the light on those that push the homosexual agenda, and I shine the light on those that have no regard for taxes in regard to how they spend those taxpayer dollars," says Rinehart.
"To do a mean-spirited piece like this and then claim to be a Christian, I can assure you this was not a Christian piece," says Whetsel. "It's just a piece of trash."
Rinehart says his message shouldn't come as a shock. Just because the form is different, he says his opinion is still the same.
Edmondson released a statement saying, "A drowning man tends to thrash about. Nothing Rinehart says is worthy of comment or rebuttal."
Rinehart says the comic will be mailed to registered Republicans in his district within the next few days.
