Thirteen men, all believed to be illegal immigrants, were taken into custody early Wednesday morning.
According to Capt. Chris West with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a trooper stopped a pickup truck around 3 a.m. after a driver failed to stop at a stop sign. It happened on I-40 between Rockwell and MacArthur.
Twelve of the men were riding in the back seat. Six others, who were riding in the front, jumped out and tried to run away. Police and U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement were called in to assist.
Officials searched the area for a few hours but authorities suspect five more are missing. The search was suspended around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
