Mind Games,
An Oklahoma Academic Challenge
presents an opportunity to participate in a new prime time Oklahoma television program that will begin airing on KSBI 52 this fall.   Perhaps you remember the GE College Bowl?  KSBI is creating a 21st century Oklahoma College Bowl takeoff entitled "Mind Games". The program will bring together teams of students from Oklahoma colleges and universities in a weekly battle of the brains.  Over the Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 semesters, students will be competing for scholarship awards totaling $200,000!  The team winning the fall competition will compete against the team winning the spring competition for the title Grand Champion and honor of being the smartest school of the year.

The Chickasaw Nation has generously signed on as the title sponsor for the program. "Mind Games" will be produced at the Oklahoma City studios of KSBI TV and air in prime time each week.  All teams will receive scholarship awards either as a consolation prize or as the weeks winning team.  Teams will be comprised of three players and up to three alternates who may be substituted in during the games. "Mind Games" will begin taping in September. The field for each semester is limited to the first 16 teams who return their team registration. Register Now!

The KSBI "Mind Games" will utilize the toss-up/bonus format.  Questions will be formatted from all topics of collegiate knowledge.  The bulk of the questions will come from the areas of science, history and literature.  Fine arts and humanities will be the next emphasis area followed by geography, current events and pop culture.  Thanks to the support of the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board, there will also be bonus questions and scholarships on the energy industry.   Each category has a full range of subcategories to assure the questions are varied and current. Rules

KSBI’s "Mind Games" will showcase Oklahoma’s best and brightest students.  We invite your institution to join the competition and show Oklahoma and America what our state’s next generation of leaders has to offer.
