Group Kicks Off Voter Registration Campaign

Monday, October 6, 2008; Posted: 4:40 p.m. (CDT)

Oklahoma City -- A campaign to register more Oklahomans to vote kicked off Monday.

You'll find voter registration forms at more than 100 businesses statewide this week as part of the Oklahoma Prosperity Project's Register to Count Week.

Milbank Real Estate in downtown Oklahoma City is participating for the first time this year.  They wanted to encourage downtown workers and residents to sign up.

"We want people to be aware of what's going on, make educated decisions when voting and getting the word out.  This is a big election for us this year," says Emily Dobson, Senior Property Manager at Milbank Real Estate.

The great banking hall of the First Bank building will be filled this Thursday.  Milbank is holding an event to help voters fill out their registration forms.  Anyone can attend.  The registration deadline is Friday, October 10.
