Presumptive Republican presidential nominee, John McCain, announced the Republican National Convention suspended most activities except those considered absolutely necessary.
They will also adjourn until further notice.
We talked with Congressman Tom Cole to get his perspective. He says he strongly agrees with McCain's decision.
Representative Tom Cole, R-Oklahoma, says, "Whether you agree with John McCain or not, he thought this was the right thing and he did it."
Cole goes on to say, "He has given up a huge amount of exposure in television time. He has made a considerable political sacrifice and I don't think he gave it a second thought."
Several Oklahomans were scheduled to speak at the Republican National Convention. Right now, everything is still up in the air.
