Officer Involved in Weekend Shooting

A police officer gets involved in a shooting over the weekend in Warr Acres.  Oklahoma City officer Grant Brooks is on administrative leave for shooting 18-year-old Daryl Wilson.  It all started when the officer heard shots at the Twin Lakes Apartment Complex, while he was across the street.  Once law enforcement was on the property, a car sped away, and a chase en-sued.  Wilson, later, got out of the vehicle.  Police say the officer felt threatened, and fired 2 shots, 1 of which hit Wilson.

Captain Steve McCool of the Oklahoma City Police Department said, "Investigators will try to investigate what role those shots fired in front of the apartment complex had as well as investigating the officer's actions in shooting this individual."

Wilson is still at the OU Trauma Center.  Officer Brooks will remain on administrative leave until the investigation is complete.
